Anything to make it easier. VolunteersWhat a great place to volunteer. You get to meet thousands of gardeners and get lots of ideas for your own garden. I know I am looking forward to the weekend. March 15, 2009Saulnier’s Home Hardware “Gardener’s Challenge”The challenge has just beeen issued to gardeners to form a team and enter the Saulnier’s Home Hardware Gardener’s Challenge. Get a team together and create a garden of any style or theme. There is no cost to register, spaces are free. Have some fun, show off your talents and you could win a cash prize. March 14, 2009Celebrity Birdhouse Silent AuctionWe now have over 20 birdhouses being decorated by artists and other celebrities for our silent auction. Profits from this event wil be donated for Cancer Care. The birdhouses will be on display throughout the weekend at “Blooms by the Sea”. “Blooms by the Sea” has an official flowerThanks to Coral Kincaid of LeHavre, there is now a day lily named “Blooms by the Sea” in honour of the show. The yellow day lily will be unveiled during the show, which runs from May 1st-3rd at the Mariners Centre in Yarmouth. The Yarmouth Garden Show Association is extremely grateful to Coral for this special recognition. December 5, 2008Yarmouth in the NewsThe Town of Yarmouth has received top honours in the Communities in Bloom program. For the second year in a row, the town has been awarded a five bloom rating, and this year was a winner in its category. Yarmouth has been invited to compete at the national level. While the whole community deserves credit, special thanks is owed to the CIB Committee and the town staff. Congratulations! |
